Committee


	This page introduces you to some of the lads and lasses who make CU possible. They are our committee and are responsible for ensuring that the CU remains God-focussed and for organising different areas of CU activity. We are currently in the process of choosing our new committee, so watch this space for more details




				Name: Simon Ashmore Course: 3rd Year French and Marketing Role: President What I do: I oversee the CU and meet with the committee on a weekly basis. Also I meet up for coffee with students and church leaders so as to try and help keep the CU firmly fixed on Jesus


Name: Jonathan Catley Course: 2nd Year Primary Education Role: Vice-President What I do: I support the President in his job and I was responsible for organising the Freshers’ weeks at the beginning of the year

	Name: Ellen Simmons Course: 3rd Year Primary Education Role: Vice-President What I do: I support the President in his job and I was responsible for planning the CU houseparty. I am also responsible for planning socials and for ensuring that the Buddy system works all year round

		Name: Lucy Stone Course: 2nd Year Primary Education Role: Secretary and Treasurer What I do: I sort out anything to do with admin in CU. I draw up the notices each week, write letters and handle the money that the CU needs to use.

		Name: Simon Lovell Course: 2nd Year Theology and Religious Studies Role: Evangelism Co-ordinator What I do: I head up the evangelism efforts for the CU. I am responsible for organising missions week and various other things that we do to ensure that people hear the word of God.

		Name: Laura Moncaster Course: 3rd Year Primary Education Role: Prayer Co-ordinator What I do: I arranged the 24/7 prayer week earlier this year and am involved with anything prayer related. I believe that prayer is an important part of CU and part of my job is encouraging people to pray

			Name: Greg Struthers Course: 2nd Year Applied Criminology and Digital Culture Role: Worship Co-ordinator What I do: I organise all things worship for the CU, particularly the music ministry for every Tuesday and for other events that we put on

			Name: Julia Hatvani Course: 3rd Year Music Role: Small Group Co-ordinator What I do: I organise studies for the Small Groups and encourage people to come along to learn more about God’s Word. I also support the Small Group Leaders

				Name: Rachael Dorey Course: 3rd Year Religious Studies and Art Role: Internationals Secretary What I do: I welcome and support people of foreign backgrounds and encourage them to live for Christ in a strange land
